Barry Osmun- President
2025 marks Barry's 40th year in the architectural sales and marketing sector. After graduating from St. Thomas University in 1985 Barry accepted his first inside sales position with a roofing supply company and the rest, as they say, is history. He has experience in project management and has worked on over 1000 projects throughout Eastern Canada and the Northeastern USA throughout his career. In 2021 he formed AzSpecd Solutions so he could focus on promoting innovative renewable energy solutions such as the Solstex BIPV system from Canadian manufacturer Elemex. Barry now lives and works in Halifax and his business covers all of Atlantic Canada. Barry is also LEED certified and holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix, Maryland.
Our Home at The Pier
AzSpecd Solutions is very fortunate to be able to call The Pier in Halifax our home. Located on the Halifax Waterfront, The Pier is a vibrant space that encourages inclusion and collaboration and often hosts delegations from other countries wanting to see some of the great work done here. The Pier Innovation Center has been a huge success story by allowing people and companies involved in emerging sectors such as renewable energy to collaborate together. When you walk through the doors at The Pier you immediately feel the energy that surrounds you as people work diligently to fine tune and launch their technologies and it is not uncommon to hear cheering from somewhere in the building as teams achieve an important milestone. Atlantic Canada is unique and the renewable energy challenges faced need to be addressed in a manner that reflects these challenges. The Pier Innovation Center brings bright minds together in the common goal of developing and perfecting Made in Nova Scotia technology.
